PADI IDC April 2009
Congratulations to PADI Instructors, John Childress, Iain Barnes, Will Zeal, Candice Bougie and Jackie Daugherty.
Candice, Iain and Will joined Mermaids in December 2008 and Josh and Jackie in January 2009. Everyone has taken part in the activities we organise and Candice, Iain and Will thanks for the Bingo night and taking Yogi on his first DSD! To Jackie for the Bed Race, you are an amazing runner! Congrats to Josh on his engagement, who knows perhaps there might be another proposal on its way!!!
Candice and Iain stayed on to do some Instructor ratings and have gone off to work in Malaysia and Will went off to Fiji to work, nearly without his luggage! Josh and Jackie have both gone back to the States.

On the IDC, they were all fantastic candidates and learnt very quickly to keep the snorkel in especially a certain young lady and a shy diver who came in to Mermaids became the greatest hero of all. As usual lots of ups and downs on any IDC but everyone on this one took their tasks really seriously and were a credit to their Course Directors and Staffies on the IDC.
Congratulations to Barry Smith on his IDC Staff Instructor and a big thank you goes to you as well for all your time and your commitment to Mermaids, well done from all of us, you are fabulous.
Everyone passed the IE with flying colours and had a great night celebrating, well some of them anyway but never mind guys your friends made up for it. Congratulations to you all from the Mermaids Team and thanks for all your extra efforts you put in on the events and for giving us great memories of you all. Another 100% pass rate for Mermaids Dive Center.
