PADI IDC October 2009
Congratulations to PADI Instructors Sam Beer, Hannah Hughes, John Bishop, Riaan Lambrechts, Mike Rossi and Richard Linney.
Sam and Hannah joined us in March 2009 from the UK, John arrived in April, Riaan from South Africa/New Zealand in May, Mike in September and Richard our non diver in February 2009. All the guys took part, organised and helped on our Annual International Clean Up day on the 19th September where we had 203 people participating. Thank you so much, it wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Sam is staying on to do his MSDT, Richard has decided to go the whole way in true zero to hero style up to IDC Staff. Riaan returns to New Zealand and Mike down to Phuket. John will be exploring and Hannah goes back to the UK (not through her choice though).
ON the IDC, the group had great fun together comparing their scores and which bracket they fell into on that day! A few questions were issued to a Course Director by a certain individual (we all know who you are) and admire your bravado. On a whole the group were dedicated and hard working and through supporting each other and the Fantastic training from the Course Directors and Staffies, they all set off to the IE determined to become PADI Instructors. Well done everyone, on their IE, they all passed with flying colours and again from all the team here at Mermaids – we are so proud of you. The celebratory night was fun and everyone joined in to congratulate the new instructors in true Mermaids style.
More congratulations go to Andy Hale on his IDC Staff rating. Andy joined us in February 2009 and has been a big part of Mermaids from day one. Andy, you are fabulous and thank you for your support, dedication and beyond…
Another 100% pass rate for Mermaids.
