Internship

Mermaids Dive Center a PADI 5 Star CDC (Career Development Center) Thailand conducts 11 PADI IDC (Instructor Development Courses) times annually from our location in Jomtien, Pattaya, Thailand. Mermaids was the first 5 Star CDC Dive Center on the Eastern seaboard to have achieved this prestigious award for excellence in professional level diver training.
Coupled with this our Educations Manager and Course Director, Russell Martin is a two times Platinum Director being one of only 100 globally. Our Second Course Director Desi Doggart has already met all the criteria for becoming a Platinum Course Director and is just awaiting the approval from PADI.
Mermaids has this year improved all our facilities as well as a brand new, computerized classroom, our own Hotel for our Intern Candidates, a shop on Beach Road, as well as North Pattaya and Bangkok, so that our Interns can see how a business can be run, from different angles as well as get a broader perspective in different operations.
We are located within easy sailing distance of three major steel shipwrecks, the Hardeep, the HTMS Khram and the Petchburi Bremen, as well as numerous coral sites. The diving here is consistent all year round, with 5-15 meters visibility. It is an ideal place for PADI IDC training.
All of our Internship programs are built with care and attention to your needs as a professional, as we want you to go out and join those who finished before you, in finding the best job possible, as a Dive Master or Dive Instructor.
As part of our zeal to make you more employable, we offer full upgrades as well as Technical Diving facilities, with courses that most other schools cannot offer. As well as more than a decades worth of experience in Internship education and training, which means that we do not suffer form teething problems or logistical issues. Been there, done it!
