PADI Instructors

The Open Water Course is a 4 day program which can be 4 consecutive days, two weekends or tailor-made to fit around your schedule.  Pattaya’s beautiful dive sites are home to a myriad of marine life and the vibrant corals are bursting with colour. We want to give you the best Thai scuba diving experience and there is no better way to explore these incredible reefs than with our friendly and experienced team of PADI professionals.

At our PADI 5 Star Career Development Center (the highest level of PADI Dive Center possible) in Pattaya we believe in keeping our classes small so you have plenty of time with your instructor and don’t feel rushed. Our PADI Instructors are all experienced professionals and are as passionate about teaching as they are about diving.

PADI eLearningTo allow you to progress and learn the theory at your own pace you also have the option to study from home with PADI eLearning before you arrive in Thailand. This means no time in the classroom on your holiday and giving you another day to relax or tag on a scuba dive at the end of your course.

What is the PADI Open Water Diver Course?

 The PADI Open Water Course is an internationally recognised scuba diving certification, which allows you to dive to 18 meters. During your PADI Open Water Course in Pattaya you’ll learn how to become a safe, competent and confident diver. When you complete your course you’ll be ready to dive anywhere in the world and you’ll be among millions of other divers who made the same choice as you – to become PADI Open Water Divers!

Who Can Take The PADI Open Water Diver Course?

You do not need to have any previous diving experience. The PADI Open Water Course is designed for beginners. You need to be a minimum of 10 years old and be in good general health. You should be able to swim 200 meters (no time limit and in any style or combination of styles you choose) and be comfortable in the water – that’s all!

Once you are all certified Open Water Divers you’ll be able to embark on future dive travel adventures together all around the world! The Open Water Course is also a great way to build your children’s confidence, communication skills and develop responsibility for each other – and for you too!

What Does The PADI Open Water Course in Thailand Involve?

The PADI Open Water Course is divided into 3 components (1) Knowledge Development, (2) Confined Water Dives and (3) Open Water Dives, as follows:

Knowledge Development: This is where you learn about the theory of diving and you have the option to study this online before you arrive with PADI eLearning. ELearning is perfect for those who have busy schedules as you can fit your studying around your work or school schedule. It also means you’ll only need 3 days to complete the PADI Open Water Course in Pattaya.

Confined Water Dives: These sessions give you the chance to practice basic dive skills in a safe and controlled environment. Your instructor will give you step-by-step instructions as well as demonstrations. You’ll have a lot of fun and feel confident about making your open water dives in the ocean!

Open Water Dives: This is what it is all about! The PADI Open Water course involves 4 ocean dives and we’ll take you to some of Pattaya’s best known diving spots! You’ll see incredible coral reefs and a host of colourful marine species.

How much does it cost to learn to dive in Thailand?

Our PADI Open Water Course is 14,000 Thai baht (plus 2,700 Thai baht for your student manual). If you would prefer to take PADI eLearning, our price is reduced to 11,900 Thai baht plus AU$202 which is paid directly to PADI online when you sign up for eLearning.

Our prices include:

  • Professional, experienced and insured PADI instructor
  • Use of all required scuba diving equipment
  • Transfer to/from all dive sites
  • Pool training sessions and all open water dives
  • Log Book and PADI Open Water Certification
  • PADI required learning materials
  • A lot of fun and incredible diving!!
