Samaesan Diving Photos
Samaesan has everything a diver could want. We’ve got the Hardeep Wreck dives for Advanced Divers but beginner divers aren’t left out with the coral island dives and amazing marine life waiting to be spotted.
The Samaesan Coral Islands boast Nudibranches, Seahorses and a few more other surprises in between (Whale Shark spotted recently) It’s also home to beautiful soft and hard corals. Do you know your marine life and corals and how to identify them?
Identifying fish during and after a dive is a fun way to engage with your dive buddies and the environment. Most divers log the fish and corals they’ve seen and compare finds at the end of the day. The easiest way to do this is with the use of Fish ID Cards. These ID Cards are easily stored in your BCD or your log book and are typically local to the area you are diving.
Fish come in a variety of shapes and can be flat like flounders or torpedo shaped like tuna. Tails can be round, forked or square. The dorsal fin (on the back) and how many fins they have is a good way to identify fish. The fish’s color, stripes and spots are helpful too.
Amaze your friends with your Fish Knowledge by doing the PADI Fish ID Specialty Course. It’s only one day with 2 dives and it’s lots of fun. The Fish ID Specialty counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver Certification. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Thank you Christian for your amazing photos.
